2026 Lubrizol Computer Science Scholarship

The Lubrizol Computer Science Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students studying Computer Science.

Eligibility: Applicants must be freshmen studying Computer Science at the Siebel School who will be a sophomore in Fall 2026. Preference shall be given to highly qualified students who: are Pell Grant eligible or demonstrate other financial need; are first-generation college students; and have a background of unique life experiences and/or who have a demonstrated commitment to volunteer work.

Required Materials:

- Unofficial transcripts for your current degree program at U of I. Unofficial transcripts can be obtained for free at: https://apps.uillinois.edu/selfservice/

- Up-to-date CV or resume.

- Essay that answers the following (500 words maximum):

Please describe your background, with a focus on unique life experiences, and/or your commitment to and interest in volunteer work. If you are a first-generation college student (U of I defines first-generation as “neither parent nor guardian have earned at least a bachelor’s degree”), feel free to incorporate what that means to you and others in your family as well.
