C.W. Gear Outstanding Undergraduate Award
For CS and LAS students only – see details
This award is for graduating seniors planning to attend graduate school. Traditionally, two awards are given, one for a student in the College of Engineering and one for a student in LAS (Math/CS, Statistics/CS, CS + X). Established friends and alumni to honor the longtime contributions and service of former CS department head Charles W. Gear, a pioneer in numerical analysis and scientific computing, this award recognizes outstanding undergraduate students who intend to pursue graduate studies.
